A 29-year old man was rear-ended by a drunk driver, causing a rollover automobile accident that caused the roof of his 1984 Corvette to collapse on his neck, rendering him a quadriplegic. We took General Motors to court alleging that their product was defectively designed. It was very satisfying to not only take on one of the world's largest corporations but also to give the young man the help he needed to improve the quality of his life.
Result: The jury agreed with us and awarded our client $6.1 million, 80% apportioned to General Motors and 20% to the drunk driver.
